RAIN

Overview

The RAIN project (Resilience and Innovation Northants) will be working with communities in two river catchments: Harpers Brook in North Northamptonshire, and Wootton Brook in West Northamptonshire. We will be working with these communities to trial flood resilience measures at three different scales: across the catchment, within the community, and at individual property level.

Landscape Enterprise Networks (LENs)

Overview

LENs brings together businesses with diverse needs to invest in common Nature-based Solutions that make a real difference to nature and the landscape.

LENs systematically brings a diversity of private and public-sector organisations together around a common interest in funding nature-based solutions within a given geography. LENs then brokers negotiations, and eventually transactions, between these buyers and groups of landowners who are in a position to deliver them on the ground.

Overview

The Nenescape Landscape Partnership is a Heritage Lottery Funded scheme, focused on the transition of the Nene Valley from a working landscape to a recreational space with significant historical and wildlife interest.

All of this must learn to coexist alongside a large, increasing human population; modern industry and agriculture.
