In September 2022, The River Ise partnership began work at slade brook to mitigate against increasing heavy rainfall and flood risk
The Slade Brook portion of the River Ise Partnership Scheme’s plan seeks to realign and shape the Brook into a more natural watercourse to provide a more sustainable habitat, increase biodiversity, and creating an enhanced environment for those visiting the park to enjoy.
The project focuses on the ecological and hydrological elements of the scheme, including;
- Realignment of the Slade Brook through the flood meadow
- Blocking of the existing Slade Brook
- Introduction of clean gravel on the River Ise
